The EU in Denial

Interested in the European view of the Iran crisis? Read Why America has got it so wrong on Iran.

Just as in the cold war, they are once again in denial regarding the threats against western civilization. In their view, our entire war on terror has been a failure.

But what choice do they have? They are dependent on Iranian oil for their economy and don't have the military strength to deal with such threats conventionally.

A more cynical view might conclude that it is in Europe's best interest to see us fail in our Middle East efforts. Iran is France's largest Middle Eastern trading partner. Most of Europe has much to lose from a regime change in Iran, as does Russia and China.

It looks as if the US may have to deal with Iran on its own.
