Khamenie Won!

Farideh Nicknazar, Iran Scan:
The results are in and apparently Ahmadinejad is Iran’s 6th president by wining 60% of the vote! Turnout was 47%, down from 63% in the first round. However, the true winner is Khamenie himself. He played the game of politics better than anyone could have imagined. He is now the spiritual leader in control of the Presidency; he is the head of Judiciary, in charge of National Radio and TV and is the commander in Chief of the armed forced. In a nutshell, Iran is once again on the verge of falling into yet another dictatorship.

Will this outcome force the Iranian opposition groups to unite under one goal?

Will this outcome compel the Western countries to have a united policy toward Iran?

For years Europe has ignored Iran’s human rights violations in order to gain short-term economic benefits.

Will Europe stop negotiating with Iran after this sham election?
