Iran Scan:
Rooz Online reports that Mehdi Karrubi, former speaker of the Parliament and the true surprise of the recent presidential elections (despite his ultimate loss), intends to launch a satellite TV in October this year.

Behrouz Afkhami, a well-known film director who made Karrubi‘s campaign TV advert, is apparently involved in the TV. It‘s supposed to be based in London, UK.

Afater the first round of the election Karrubi publicly protested for its results and openly challenged the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamanei, in an open letter accusing him of implicitly approving the organized support of the revolutionary guards and Basij for Ahmadinejad, who ultimately was elected President.

Later, he revealed plans for forming a political party, named Etemaad-e Melli (National Trust).
