Fresh clashes rock Mahabad

Fresh clashes rocked, yesterday afternoon, several areas of the northwestern City of Mahabad.

Islamic regime security forces attacked groups of demonstrators in Posht Tapeh, Esteghlal and even near the cemetery with clubs, chains and tear gas.

Noise of a loud explosion, from the military camp, and sporadic shooting, from several areas, were heard.

Tens of Mahabadis were injured or arrested.

In retaliation, some protesters damaged public buildings and set tires ablaze.

The situation is tense in the city and in the region despite the massive presence of security forces.
