Ahmadinejad Meets Nationals in US

Visiting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday night that Iranians are the most influential people in the international arena. "You are a nation who has a system based on values, a rich culture and a very transparent and progressive plan for life and who generously presents all these to world peoples.

"You are representatives and symbol of the great Iranian nation.

Our nation today is the vanguard of the Islamic culture and movement in the world.

"You are representatives of a nation with a very brilliant background who has been pioneer of human civilization for years.

Humanity is indebted to the Iranian nation for a great part of what it has gained in the field of science and ethics," he said.

"Problems the great nation of Iran is faced with are too trivial to resist the resolve of this nation," he said.

Ahmadinejad added, "Prudent people realize that any resistance to the Islamic culture and revolution is useless. The future undoubtedly belongs to Islam, The Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation.

He recommended the Iranians to rely on the values and power of the revolution and bravely and wisely defend the interests of Islam and Iran.

He said job in the domain of defending the country's interests and foreign policy is very complicated, difficult and precise and therefore it is of high value.

Meanwhile, Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN Mohammad-Javad Zarif expressed hope that the first visit by President Ahmadinejad to the United Nations would be a very good start for the foreign policy and the Islamic Republic's strategic programs at international level.
