$10,000 bail for two journalists

Tabriz News: A branch of the revolutionary court in the town of Sanandadj has issued a bail agreement in the amount of $10,000 each for two journalists.

Abbas Jamali, the defense attorney of journalists Saeed Saa'edi and Ejlal Qavami told the reporter from the Human Rights Service of Tabriz News: "After each of my clients spent 66 days in detention in the Sanandadj prison, the interrogator of the public prosecutor's office issued the agreement of guilt and the revolutionary attorney general of Sanandadj adjusted the penalty; at this juncture the files of these two Kurdish journalists have been referred to court, with the separation of the arrest warrants and a bail of $10,000 each has been issued."

Jamali who himself is the Director of the Human Rights Commission of the Bar association of Western Azerbaijan and Ardebil said that after the bail guarantee came through, the two journalists were released from Sanandadj prison along with Dr. Roya Tolouii who had also been detained.
