Dutch Foreign Minister opposes establishment of a Persian-language TV

AFTAB, the regime-run site reports that Bernard Bot, the foreign minister of The Netherlands opposed the establishment of a Persian-language television network, which was to engage several Iranian journalists living abroad. The establishment of this television network which was under the supervision of supporters of the Reformist faction*, was suspended.

Aftab’s report quoted, Mr. Bot: The establishment of such a television network will disrupt the flow of the discussion of the European Union and Holland where the various positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran is concerned.”

* Iranian reformists, or the Reforms Front are a group of political parties and organizations in the Islamic Republic of Iran who supported the ex-president, Mohammad Khatami.
