Iran will increase its deterrent capabilities: Armed Forces commander

“Whether the enemies threaten us or not, we will increase our deterrent capabilities,” Armed Forces commander Major General Ataollah Salehi told a gathering of commanders of the Army ground forces on Wednesday, the Fars News Agency reported.

He also said that it is necessary to bolster the spiritual atmosphere at Armed Forces command headquarters.

“If we manage to acquire acceptable faith and spirituality, we can undoubtedly acquire military power, too.

“If we make vigilant efforts to know our enemies and believe in our own manpower and military equipment, God will definitely help us,” Salehi observed. READ MORE

On Wednesday, Salehi also visited an exhibition of self-sufficiency in military communications and electronic warfare equipment which was designed and built by the specialists of the Defense Ministry.
