Payman Peeraan's new trial begins

Tabriz News - Human Rights Service: Payman Peeraan's new trial begins at branch 13 of the revolutionary court in Tehran. This court took place after the reestablishment of the hearing from the high tribunal of the regime which was overseen by Judge Sadat, in the presence of the public prosecutor's representative. His new defense attorney Ms. Paraakandeh found numerous technical issues with the case and compelled the court to reduce the bail; however, she was met with the judge's refusal. After 19 months, the high tribunal of the regime has agreed to reestablish this student activist’s hearing though Peeran is still detained in ward 350 of Evin Prison. The next sessions have been slated for a future date.
