Tehran's torturers were at the secret prison of Jadehri'yeh, in Baghdad

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi
Bayn Jabr, the minister of interior of Iraq who is known to have extremely close ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a press conference with several Arab and international media members, denied the widely-reported news that other than Iraqis, there were several torturers from the Islamic Republic of Iran, operating at the Jadehri'yeh prison as well. Jabr tried to vindicate himself by saying: "These prisons weren't secret. American troops and members of the Iraqi government visited and worked there." Jabr however failed to answer why he was the only person who actually knew anything about this secret prison; no one in the Iraqi government, including Hossein Kamal, Jabr's own depty seem to have any knowledge of Jadehri'yeh.

Reports from Iraq indicate that the torturers of the secret prisons [which are said to have been under Bayn Jabr's own supervision] are from the Isalmic Republic of Iran and they have also trained the Iraqi operatives. Jabr has now come under severe attack from Iraqi political or media circles and most of the Sunni forces have demanded his resignation. Experts say that several of the Shiite forces that are directly related to the regime in Tehran are trying to terrorize and intimidate Sunnis so that they do not turn out for future Iraqi elections.

In September Jabr vehemently attacked the Saudi foreign minister for his comments about the Islamic Republic of Iran's constant and worrisome interference in Iraq.
