Iran to help Georgia in Gas Crisis

The Georgian Energy Minister Nika Gilauri left for Iran to hold talks over receiving a possible gas supply via Azerbaijan, the Chief of the Georgian President’s Administration Giorgy Arveladze said on January 26, the Civil Georgia reported. This is Nika Gikauri’s second visit to Tehran over the past week. The Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili held the phone talks with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki on January 24, during which the latter offered the Georgian side a supply of gas until the crisis is eliminated,” according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
