Early Reports on Today's "Women's Day" Demonstrations in Iran

Today, women around the world celebrated International Women's Day, but in Iran these women were met with violence and force.

It is being reported that there were three demonstrations in Tehran and more were reported around the nation.

Despite heavy security force presence, hundreds of women defied the regime to voice their demand for an end to the oppression of women in Iran and greater freedom.

The security forces are reported to have beaten many of the women including the elderly.
