9 Women assaulted at May day demonstration file complaints with the Tehran prosecutor

Nasreen Sotoudeh, attorney for nine of the leading Iranian women activists who attended the International Women's Day gathering at Daneshjoo Park in Tehran announced that she had officially filed a complaint with the public prosecutor's office, branch11 of the public and revolutionary court in Tehran; the nine women were attacked and severely beaten by the security guards on March 8th.
In an interview with the reporter from the regime-run news agency ILNA, Sotoudeh said: "This morning, I filed an official complaint with the public prosecutors office against the assailants of my 9 clients." She added: "In this case six bystanders witnessed the assault and battery of my clients who had gathered to peacefully commemorate International Women's Day; according to the same case order issued by the investigator the plaintiffs and the witnesses will appear at the public prosecutor's office to present their accounts of the incident."
