Chatting with the Mullahs

Those opposed to dialogue with the Mullahs of Iran can rest better. Powell did not meet with the Mullahs at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. He just had a chat over dinner.

Apparently dining with the enemy should not be construed to mean that we are abandoning the Iranian opposition who have been pleading with us not to cut a deal with the Mullahs of Iran.

A statement released by a senior State Department official summed up the chat:
