UK Govt Denies Rift With Washington Over Approach to Iran

Prime Minister Tony Blair's official spokesman said Monday that Straw and Rice would discuss a broad range of issues, including the Jan. 30 elections in Iraq, the Israel-Palestinian peace process, and the U.K.'s G-8 goals of tackling global warming and easing poverty in Africa.
Iran wouldn't dominate the talks, he said.
"The characterization of this meeting as being about Iran and Iran alone is wrong. He is not going to Washington to deliver a specific message about Iran ," said the spokesman. more
