Monday's Daily Briefing on Iran
DoctorZin reports, 4.4.2005:
Kathryn Jean Lopez, says "Supporting Iranian Youth's Freedom Quest Right Thing to Do."
It's that band of youth clamoring for a new day in Iran. They do it in the streets of Tehran, and on the Internet on their blogs. They're willing to put their lives on the line speaking out can be a dangerous business. ...Here are a few other news items you may have missed.
These realities seem lost on much of America's Mainstream Media. To some extent, the lack of coverage has something to do with Iran's closed society, but not completely. Sometimes journalists seem blind to eruptions right under their noses.
- The Washington Times asks, How Dangerous are Iran, North Korea?
- Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi voiced alarm about developments in Lebanon.
- The Doctor, who attended to Ms. Kazemi; fled Iran with hopes his report would promote justice.
- Iran-France political and economic ties will develop at a rapid pace over the next six months.
- And finally, in Iran, the average minimum and monthly wage is $120 a month, forcing some to look for food in city waste-bins.
