German MP discusses Iran nuclear case with Bush

A leading German lawmaker from the opposition Christian Democratic Union (CDU) on Wednesday held talks with US President George W Bush on the latest developments in Iran's nuclear case, DPA reported.

Wolfgang Schaeuble who is deputy chairman of the CDU-CSU parliamentary faction, spent 45 minutes with Bush at the White House in what German officials announced an unscheduled meeting.

Schaeuble's initial travel program included only talks with US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and US national security advisor Stephen Hadley.
