Sharon Calls for Sanctions on Iran

During an interview with the French Le Figaro newspaper, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon called upon the international community to impose sanctions on Iran.

Sharon stated the move is necessary to halt Tehran's ongoing uranium enrichment efforts and the international community should not sit back waiting for a UN decision regarding sanctions, but should preempt the international body and impose sanctions on Tehran.
