Mohammad Saeedi kia and Rahmati that held Ministry of Transportation posts in Rafsanjani and Khatami's cabinets and Mohseni Ejei and Pour Mohammadi are the only two clerics in the cabinet list nominated from ministry of intelligence and interior. Rahmati, now the minister of transportation seems to be the only Khatami's minister to keep the post. Mohseni Ejei and Pour Mohammadi are the notorious figures of Haghani School and are known as security and intelligence figures are the final known names of Ahmadinejad's cabinet.

The reformists believe that return of Pourmahmmadi is a radical option and is considered as a return to Fallahian's era when serial murders happened under his reign that held minister of the intelligence post. Pourmohammadi, the former deputy intelligence minister and a close ally of Saeed Emami the master mind behind the serial killings of intellectuals and writers were among the first figures that were eliminated from the ministry once Khatami came to power.

Mohseni Ejeie, is the notorious judge for the trial of Gholam Hussein Karbaschi, Tehran's former mayor used to have tendencies towards moderate members of the left-wing party and close to Karrubi but his role in Karbaschi's trial and press crackdown turned him into a judicial crisis for Khatami's government. This is the first of 28 cabinets introduced since Iran's revolution that around 260 ministers were introduced in the last 26 years; no other cabinet has been as anonymous and unknown as Ahmadinejad's list.
