Larijani to become Iran's Supreme National Security Council chief soon

Ali Larijani is to become the new Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary soon, said a top Iranian SNSC official to IRNA Monday.

Chairman of the Publicity and Information Dissemination Committee of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Aqa-Mohammadi said the former head of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Broadcasting Ali Larijani is expected to be officially appointed to the post by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad soon.

Aqa-Mohammadi said the present SNSC chief Hassan Rowhani will continue working in the body as the representative of the Supreme Leader.
