Workers protest in the Oil City of Abadan

Hundreds of workers and civil servants protested, today, in the strategic City of Abadan. The demonstrators were protesting against their poor conditions and the non fulfillment of empty promises made by the Islamic regime.

Several protesters who had gathered in front of the City Hall shouted slogans against the Islamic regime and its leadership. Many others threatened to continue their actions if an immediate attention is not given to their requests.

Abadan is the heart of Iran's Petroleum Industry. It has been placed under heavy security watch since riots that rocked the area four years ago due to lack of drinking water. A radicalization of the situation in the area can be fatal to the Islamic regime.
