The Friday Prayer Leader of the town of Khomein, Seyed Ali Hosseini said: "Due to the lack of any medical specialist in this province, people are very agitated. Though our member of parliament, the area commander, the Director of the center for health have been warned time and time again, this problem continues to persist. The area hospital’s lack of doctors has sent sick people from our town wandering aimlessly and desperately to other regions seeking medical care." (ILNA news agency)
40,000 people in the ARSBAARAAN area live under the poverty line

75 tons of drugs per year, used in the province of Khoraasaan
The addicts of the province of Khoraasaan use 75 tons of drugs per year, which makes up 10% of the entire country's annual drug use. The Secretary of the Assembly of Concordance for the combat against drugs in Khoraasaan said: "This amount of drugs is used by 200,000 addicts throughout the province; these addicts mainly use Opium which makes up for 80%; the rest are Morphine, Hashish and Heroin."
