Protests and clashes between people and Islamic regimes forces in Mahabad (Province of Kurdistan)

The organization of the Unity of the Revolutionaries of Kurdistan reports that on Tuesday night, Feb. 7th, the people of the town of Mahabad, residents of the Baaq'eh-Shygon district took to anti-regime protests. The majority of demonstrators were the youth of that and the Posht-Tappeh districts who began their rally by peacefully chanting anti-regime slogans. Moments later, the protestors were brutally attacked and severely beaten by guardian post number 13 of the disciplinary forces. The demonstrators fought back by throwing rocks and bricks. A considerable number of the protestors were arrested and taken to various detention centers in the area.
