Counterfeit food and drugs imported to Iran

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi
According to a report by the regime-run news agency, FARS, the Deputy of the Food and Drug Ministry of the regime announced: "Most of the food and drug products imported to Iran are counterfeit. We are sadly, witness to the smuggling of food and drug products that are nothing more than fakes into Iran. Unfortunately this market has skyrocketed, putting the lives of the people who purchase these products in danger. Smuggling is clearly illegal and it's the stuff that profiteers are made of and though there are many disciplinary and security forces manning the borders, we have had to demand that they act more diligently in controlling the border traffic where contraband is imported. Our job is to inform people not to purchase unlabeled food products however these smugglers have begun falsifying labels and standard approval stamps as well."
