Larijani meets Syrian President

Ali Larijani met with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on Wednesday. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest regional developments, with Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine on top of their agenda. Touching upon the ongoing contentious situation sparked by the United States in the region, the two high ranking officials stressed on continuous counseling between the two governments. Bashar Assad supported Iran's efforts for developing peaceful nuclear programs and denounced the attempts by the United States to deprive Iran from its nuclear rights. He also condemned the US unilateralism in treating world nuclear issue, specially in turning a blind eye at the Zionist regime's nuclear ambitions.
