Sangrood Miners' strike intensifies

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi
ILNA, a regime-run news agency reports that after 9 months of non-receipt of their wages, the protest of 620 workers of the Sangrood Mines in the Province of Gilan intensified. The workers say that not one member of the mines’ management team has looked into their appeals.

After the restoration of the mine to The West Alborz Company, the wages of hundreds of workers has been used for the unrestricted gains of the management.

The workers reiterated that they would continue their strike until they have each received their back pay.
