Israeli Diplomat says Iran Shipped Rockets to Hezbollah

An Israeli diplomat says Iran has supplied Hezbollah with more than ten-thousand short-range rockets. And most of those rockets, says the diplomat, are deployed in southern Lebanon within reach of Israel. READ MORE

Jeremy Issacharoff is the new deputy Israeli ambassador to Washington. He says Syria has also provided some of the weapons.

Issacharoff spoke at a Washington conference on Iran sponsored by The Israel Project, a non-government advocacy group.

Issacharoff says besides backing Hezbollah, Iran is supporting Palestinian terrorist groups. And he says Israel takes seriously a recent call by Iran's president that Israel be "wiped off the map."

Congressman Brad Sherman urged diplomatic and economic pressure on Iran. The California Democrat says he's proposing legislation to ban Iranian goods from coming into the United States.
