Status of Kayvon Rafii, secretary of the Iranian activists for Human Rights unknown

Organization of Iranian Human Rights Defenders
This year, on July 9th on the 7th anniversary ceremonies of the, 1999 Tehran University uprisings, the oppressive forces of the Islamic regime, brutally attacked and arrested a few of our friends who had gathered in Enghelob Square in Tehran; they were transferred to an unknown location and they are still in detention. Among those arrested and disappeared is Keyvon Rafii, secretary of the organization of Iranian Human Rights Defenders who after two months still remains in an unknown location and condition. The regime’s judiciary has decisively refrained from publishing any news on this activists’ physical and mental status as well as whereabouts.
It is our duty to publicize Keyvon Rafii’s arrest so that the media and various other information outlets can also inform the public of the actions perpetrated by the agents of the Islamic regime in order to keep the names of our political prisoners obscure and concealed; this is a clear yet pathetic effort to deceive people and twist public opinion in their own favor. The political prisoners whose information are not publicized are quite evidently under immediate physical danger.
