The Islamic regime arrests thousands for celebrating ancient Persian Festival of Fire

On Tuesday night, March 14th the chaotic Islamic regime arrested thousands of Iranian celebrants who turned the ancient Persian Festival of Fire (Chaharshanbeh Souri) into an anti-regime uprising. The regime-run news agency, IRNA reported that in the Province of Semnan alone, 367 people were arrested. This report also indicated that thousands of fed up and angry youths and activists also attacked governmental buildings and automobiles. Of the 367 in Semnan alone, 218 were freed on their own recognizance after signing an affidavit; the others were delivered to and registered with the judiciary authorities of Semnan that is supervised by Commander Mohammad-Ali Akhoondi. Colonel Hodjatollah Vaezinejad, manager of the intelligence sector of the disciplinary command center of Semnan, told IRNA: "On Tuesday, we were able to confiscate 3510 fire crackers and 20 kilos of handmade fire crackers and one kilo Bronze powder*. In yesterdays events 7 people were injured, 4 of which have 15-20% burns."

*Bronze Powder is used for arts and crafts and woodworking.
