Iran's Rafsanjani says may stand for presidency

Rafsanjani whom many consider the real supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran wants to run for president again? He served as president during the Iran/Iraq war, but not long ago he ran for parliment and was trounced. It appears his interests for the presidency has returned.
"If there is no other suitable candidate, I will run in the next presidential elections for the sake of Islam and the revolution," the Hambastegi daily on Saturday quoted the 70-year old as saying in a speech to students in the holy city of Qom.

"I have told the supreme leader not to order me and to let doors be opened for other candidates," he added.

Mullahs Rattled by Dish and Web

An Iranian Ex-patriot Dr Yazdi threatened to fly into Iran and overthrow the regime. This appears to have shaken up the regime, but regime opposition group in the US convinced him not to go at this time.

Iran to launch first homemade satellite

Iran's Deputy Defense Minister for Space Affairs Nasser Maliki said,
"We are on the threshold of entering the international space club ... Until 1998 we were producing short-range missiles and today we are into the production of long-range surface-to-surface missiles like Shihab 1 and 2 which deter the enemy."

Iran rejects IAEA nuclear demands... ready for confrontation

Conflict with Iran appears to be inevitable.

Today, Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Mr. Rowhani talked tough regarding the November 25 deadline, risks being referred to the UN Security Council if it fails to comply.
"To sort out this case, there are two possibilities," Rowhani said.
"Either we find a political solution and close the case (at the IAEA) or we move towards confrontation. We are ready for both."

Iran says can launch missile with range of 2,000km

The Islamic Republic of Iran is increaslingly a threat to the world. Today, the regime announced that the a new version of its Shihab-3 missile has a range of 2,000km. This threatens not only Israel but Europe as well.

Europe which just a few years ago argued that Iran was not threat to them and therefore a potential trading partner may have to rethink it's position. Of course, Europe is not likely to deal with this development with little more than criticism, since they no longer have the means to defend themselves from such threats.

Kerry Funded by the Mullahs of Iran?

John Kerry's campaign has received hundreds of thousands of dollars from people and organizations that promote a noramization of relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Student Movement Coordinating Committee for Democracy in Iran (SMCCDI) has named names and organizations and as a result found itself in a lawsuit.

Fortunately, conservative allies are joining SMCCDI. Today Dr. Jerome Corsi, writer of the best-selling book "Unfit for Command," announced that he is going to join in the depositions and is going to write a book on the connections between several leading Democrats and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Dr. Corsi is now alledging that Kerry's Iran policy can is linked to these donations.

Iran’s supreme leader recently demanded of his senior government and military leaders on the nuclear weapons program.
"We must have two bombs ready to go in January or you are not Muslims."
says WorldNetDaily.
