When the Americans go to the polls on Tuesday they would do well to remember two events that have altered their lives forever. The first was the raid on the US Embassy in Tehran, and the seizure of American hostages on Nov.4 ,1979 . The second was the Sept.11 , 2001 attacks against New York and Washington. more

The European Union’s blatant appeasement of the terrorist regime ruling Iran is deplorable and the nuclear “grand bargain” it has offered Tehran could very well have strategic and regional security repercussions.

At the commencement of the second series of talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the EU Big 3, the ex-head of the Revolutionary Guard, Mohsen Rezai threatened the three European Leaders stating that any further pressure from them on Iran to cease further nuclear development will lead to exposing "secrets" about the Europeans. more

I asked a visiting editor from Azerbaijan a few days ago what his countrymen's principal concerns were. One of the most significant, he said, was that the US might use Azerbaijan as a base for the US to invade neighboring Iran. more

In early September at an annual meeting here of Germany's ambassadors, Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer told his top diplomats that the E.U. would "not accept" nuclear weapons in the hands of the mullahs. He had discussed the matter with the foreign ministers of France and Britain and "nothing would change" in this position. Fischer warned against a nuclear arms race in the Middle East (it would be a "nightmare," he said) and appealed three times to the Iranian leadership not to miscalculate. That sounds serious. more
