The Political Consequences of the Iranian Earthquake

Recall that after the earthquake in Bam, the response of the Islamic regime came under heavy and sustained criticism (something I wrote about here). Now, it appears that the regime has learned nothing from its spate of mistakes regarding the Bam earthquake, and is repeating those mistakes in light of the most recent earthquake to hit Iran...
If the regime can't handle disaster relief, how can it manage a popular uprising of the people of Iran. This summer will likely prove to be a very hot in Iran.
