Top Israeli Bomber Pilot Says Iran "Within Reach"

Teshreen, Syria Times:
A top Israeli bomber pilot said on Tuesday that his squadron could reach Iran, the latest veiled threat by the Jewish state against the Islamic Republic.

"We are preparing for all theatres, including those at the furthest ranges," the unnamed commander of the Israel Air Force`s strategic "Bat" squadron told the Web site of the daily Maariv.

"That is what the squadron was set up for. If our pilots will be required to fly six hours to Iran, it will not be a foreign experience for them," he said. ...

"We must try all alternatives before we choose something complicated," Air Force chief Eliezer Shkedy told reporters last week. "But we don`t have a lot of time." ‏

The air force received a fleet of advanced U.S.-made F-16i fighter jets last year, extending its reach into the Gulf. According to Maariv, Bat squadron incorporates several of these warplanes. ‏...
