Iran won! Let the celebration begin!

Iran won its game with Bahrain, moments ago. The score 1-0. This win means Iran has qualified for a position in the World Cup games.

The people of Iran are going to celebrate in a huge way and such events typically lead to political demonstrations.

If the regime cracks down on anti-regime demonstrators it risks angering the Iranian people. If the regime does nothing, it encourages people to demonstrate. Either way, this is great news for the Iranian people.
