Khamenei: U.S. Policies will be Defeated

Iran`s spiritual guide, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told visiting Lebanese parliament Speaker Nabih Berri U.S. policies will be defeated. Iran`s non-official Maher news agency Monday quoted Khamanei as saying U.S. pressures on Lebanon and Syria are aimed at serving the interests of Israel. READ MORE

"The Americans are seeking to eliminate the popular and Islamic resistance in Lebanon, but U.S. policies against Lebanon and Syria will eventually be defeated," Khamenei said.

Khamenei charged American policies in the region, including Iraq, Afghanistan and the Palestinians territories "failed dramatically and resulted in fueling people`s hatred against America."
