Addressing members of Supreme Council of Provinces at the Interior Ministry, Mohsen Rezaei told IRNA that although the government is fighting drug smugglers since many years, this problem has not been resolved as yet.

He went on to say that the ninth presidential election will enter the second round.

Rezaei said 50% of eligible voters will participate in the upcoming election and take the poll into the second round.

“The number of voters may also decline in the second round and the next president might be elected with less than 10 million votes,“ he added.

Asked about his chances of winning the race, Rezaei said if people understand his programs he will receive more than 10 million votes.
