Iran Nukes Would Increase War

Middle East Newsline:
Iran's strategic weapons programs were expected to significantly increase the prospect of a nuclear war over the next decade. A Senate study said Iran and three other countries would join the nuclear weapons club over the next decade. The study, conducted by Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Richard Lugar, said this development would result in a 29 percent chance of a nuclear attack against the United States or another country.

"The bottom line is this: for the foreseeable future, the United States and other nations will face an existential threat from the intersection of terrorism and weapons of mass destruction," the study said.
