Kuwait puts a moratorium on issuing visas to IRI passport holders

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi
On Wednesday, Nov. 2nd Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior issued directives limiting visa request submissions from foreign citizens. Based on these new rules citizens of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Libya will under no circumstance receive neither tourist visas nor work permits. As such any resident of Kuwait who still holds the citizenship of said countries can only apply for visas for their immediate family members. Commercial visas for these foreign nationals will also only apply to professionals such as doctors, engineers, bankers, and corporate executives with security documents or invitations from Kuwaiti hosts.
