Political Prisoners in Evin Prison attacked by guards

According to received reports, on Monday, Nov. 21st a group of the Evin prison guards, at the command of the information and security forces of the prisons, stormed ward 350 of said prison and beating the prisoners, confiscated their books, tapes and personal belongings.

Following the attack, one of the prisoners, Heshmattolah Tabarzadi, in a phone contact described the attack as vicious and unprecedented; Tabarzadi also mentioned that a new era of pressure and threats looms over the heads of the prisoners in the political ward. He said that the prisoners have all agreed that if their belongings are not returned within 24 hours, that they will definitely begin a hunger strike.
