Deputy director of Majles: "Our people will never forget the cruelty and exploitation of the Russians"

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi.
Mohammad-Nabi Roudaki, the Deputy director of security and foreign policy of the Majles (The Islamic Parliament's Assembly) called Russia's invitation of the 5 member countries of the U.N. Security Council to a meeting in Moscow, shocking and said: "By calling this meeting, the Russians have clearly shown that all they're interested in is power playing and self-promotion. In their meeting and discussions with the Islamic regime, even the telephone calls between Putin and Ahmadinejad, the Russians have consistently said that if the Islamic regime operates within the framework of the NPT and obeys the IAEA's regulations, they would have no problem with our nuclear activities. We would like to ask this of the Russians: why would the Russian government organize such a meeting in Moscow when we have acted according to the regulations of the IAEA, which clearly permits each country to conduct nuclear research? Our people will never forget the cruelty and exploitation of these Russians in our history...contracts such as the Turkman-Chai and Golestan treaties." READ MORE

Roudaki stressing the point that the Russians, like the U.S. have acted with discrimination against the Islamic regime's nuclear activities, continued: "The promises that Bush has made to Putin in resolving Russia's economic problems is what caused the Russians to oppose the Islamic regime by organizing their Moscow meeting."
