More than 500 textile workers have gone unpaid for 8 months

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi.
According to a report from the regime-run news agency, ILNA, Majid-Ahmadi Gowdini, the director of the Workers Assembly of Islamic Societies of the Province of Kermanshah said: "More than 500 of the workers of NASAJI'EH GHARB (Western Textile) of Kermanshah have neither been paid in 8 months now, nor have they received any of their benefits; this is all due to mismanagement of this factory which is leading to it's closure. Clearly at this juncture all of them are in desperate financial shape. Management has been angling to fire a number of the workers and given his $900000 debt to the social security organization, banks and bureau of assets, the number of people fired will increase. Unfortunately the widespread and ongoing protests by the workers, since last year, has had no results and the government authorities have not taken any steps to help resolve the issues for these workers."
