Once again the occupying regime in Iran resorted to beatings and arrests of freedom seeking women of our nation on June 12th 2006 in Tehran.

Nearly 100 women were arrested by security forces in a savage clampdown at a peaceful demonstration by several thousand Iranian women in “Seven Tir” Square demanding equal rights.

We strongly condemn this barbaric act and voice our concerns on any attempts by the six-nation negotiation team to appease the regime in Tehran to comply with the IAEA’s demands.

The international community should consider the mistreatment of the Iranian people by this gang of hooligans as threat to civilization by the Islamic regime.

We believe that the empowerment of people of Iran against this regime is one of the most appropriate courses of action open to everyone with a conscience.

We would appreciate your strongest condemnation of these beatings and arrests and your demand for immediate and unconditional release of the innocent detainees. READ MORE
