Iran president to attend funeral of Pope John Paul II

IRNA:

President Mohammad Khatami is scheduled to attend funeral of the late Catholic Leader Pope John Paul II in the Holy See.

Iranian Ambassador to Rome Bahram Qasemi confirmed Italian media reports that President Khatami will take part in the funeral of late Pope John Paul II due to be laid to rest in Vatican on Friday.
