Workers beaten and rounded up in North Iran

Several protesting workers were beaten and rounded up as the Islamic regime forces intervened to put a brutal end to their peaceful demo. The workers were protesting against their conditions and the suspicious closure of "Alborz Carpet Industry" located in Babolsar by the Caspian Sea.

The workers were shouting "Kar, Nan, Edalat!" (Work, Bread Justice!) when brutal militiamen attacked them with clubs. READ MORE

The Islamic regime is forcefully privatizing many sectors of Iran's industry by giving them to family members of officials or well connected land speculators who are often liquidating these commercial entities in order to sell their lands.

Most of these companies were highly competitive before their forced confiscation following the 1979 Islamic revolution. Years of bad management and corruption have brought most of them to bankruptcy.
