Rice: The Iranian People are a Sophisticated People

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice reiterated Tuesday the United States had no intention of using force against Iran.

She made the statement during an interview with Georgia's Imedi TV.

The U.S. State Department reported Rice said Iranian funded terrorist groups around the world are continuing to pursue nuclear weapons under the guise of a civilian program. But said added the Islamic republic could not escape the spirit of freedom that was spreading through the region.

"The Iranian people are a sophisticated people, they are worldly people," she said, accusing an unelected few of wanting to impose their particular view...on the Iranian population. ...
