Regime uses its so-called students to pelt British embassy in Tehran

SMCCDI (Information Service):
Less than 500 so-called students gathered, today, in order to pelt the British embassy in Tehran. They throw stones and tomatoes against the diplomatic facility despite the presence of the regime's regular forces.

The Islamic regime uses these so-called students for propaganda, gathering of intelligence in Iranian universities or as a repressive force in order to smash real students rallies or demos. Unfortunately, many naive foreign reporters echo regime's propaganda by naming these para-military Bassij members as 'students'.

Such policy helps the Islamic regime to undermine the meaning of Iranian Students and their constant struggle for ending the theocratic rule in Iran. READ MORE

It's to note that these so-called students, known as Bassij students by many Iranians, are different than the controversial "Office of Consolidation Unity" (OCU) which acts in a much smoother manner but in reality it's a tool at the service of some more 'moderate' factions of the regime.

Recently, the very same OCU which tried to deviate the struggle of Iranian students from its real path of overthrowing the totality of the Islamic regime, is getting promoted by another faction of foreign press which is echoing some circles in desperate need of a kind of 'Iran solution'.

OCU was a main tool at the service of the so-called regime's reformists and is claiming to be the biggest student group of Iran and having tens of office. In reality, it hasn't been able to gather more than couple of hundreds of individuals in recent tolerated demos despite many advertisement made even by abroad based media. The fall of the popularity of this governmentally promoted entity started with the events of July 9, 1999, Students' Uprising and by OCU's revealed demagogy.

Many students have since left this entity which its name and basis are still of religious and ideological contents. The full name of OCU is in reality "Office of Consolidation Unity Between Hawza and Universities". Hawza are the Islamist clerical schools and OCU was heavily involved in the Islamic Cultural Revolution and smashing secularist students in the early 80s.

Its founders were those students who stormed the US embassy in 1979 and took American diplomats as hostage.
