"Based on reports from reliable sources, at 10:30 PM on Sunday, the agent in question who was driving his vehicle in the Yaftabad section of Tehran was shot by several unknown persons. The assailants fled the scene with the agent’s vehicle after dragging the agent out of his car and leaving him on the street for dead. He was rushed to the hospital, having lost a lot of blood however doctors were able to save his life."

One of the regime's authorities that did not wish to be identified said however: "The carjacking is meant to be a ruse; the real reason for this was to kill the agent."

It is important to state that the regime's media has been reluctant to divulge the name of this secret service agent and a round-the-clock security detail has been posted at the door of his hospital room. The agent is said to be one of the high-ranking members of the Intelligence and security groups of the regime and he is being treated at Bagheeyehollah Hospital in Tehran whose staff is under the direct supervision of the Revolutionary Guards.
