Director of Foreign policy commission of Islamic Parliament’s Assembly: “Blair is uncivilized”

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi
MEHR, the regime-run news agency reported that Ala’eddin Boroujerdi, the director of security and foreign policy of the Islamic Parliament’s Assembly, in reaction to Tony Blair’s Tuesday comments, said: “Blair’s comments are not only out of step with international communication, he is also uncivilized and lacks international sophistication. It is a pity that this uncouth Prime Minister who cannot maintain international civility has made such comments. Blair’s accusations is a form of self-preservation; he wants to create an atmosphere of publicity so that he can cover up the situation in Iraq.”

In his Tuesday speech at the House of Commons, Tony Blair, stated that the Islamic regime’s nuclear activities poses a serious threat to world stability and that rather than taking military action, encouraging the Iranian people to take action inside Iran was the more appropriate approach. The Prime Minister of England also mentioned that Tehran’s regime supports international terrorism and continues to meddle in Iraq.
