Gas export to Georgia lasts only one week

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzzi.
The regime-run site Aftab reports that approximately two weeks ago, Kasaiizadeh, the general manager of the National Gas Company announced that the regime had begun exporting gas to Georgia. The upper management of the Ministry of Oil refused further comment on the contract until the Deputy of the international contracts of said ministry, Nezhad-Hosseinian, divulged that the regime had in fact exported 300 million square meters of gas to Georgia within 30 days.

In the recent days however, Kasaiizadeh has contradicted himself, saying: "The export of gas to Georgia was interrupted and we ended up exporting for one week only." He explained the situation as such: "Georgia is a tiny country and its' gas usage is low. They requested that we help them in portions. Their problems seems to have been resolved for now however and they will be able to provide gas for themselves apparently."
