Employer nears bankruptcy as workers go hungry

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi.
In an interview, Dr. Hadi Ghanimi-Fard, an Employment and Labor authority in Iran told ILNA, the regime-run news agency's labor reporter: "In Iran there are no opportunities for prosperity for an employer, factory-owner, job creator, job or worker. Unfortunately, under the current circumstance more and more employers face bankruptcy, pushing workers into joblessness and destitution."

Ghanimi-Fard who also heads up the network of industry and mines centers said: "At present, due to various reasons, even coming up with the cash to pay salaries is a burden on employers and in certain cases the total disbursement of the employer to the worker, such as severance pay and pensions, co-op and foodstuffs, non-cash assistance, insurances and children’s stipend doubles what salary workers receive, doubling the pressure on the employers financial commitment.
